  1. Hi!

Your blog is amazing! You are living the dream :D I have done my FI on my birthday 13th May and currently waiting for my golden call :) The waiting period is killing me. However I am a little worried about something, when I travel I always take a pill to prevent from nausea because as a little girl I once got really sick on a plane. I've travelled recentlly, 1 a very, very long flight and taking the pill I'me fine. Do you think it can be a problem? Can I take non drawsing medication and still be cabin crew for EK? This is a huge dream of mine and I would be devastated if I cannot purssue it due to this.

Thank you for sharing your experience on this blog.

    1. Hi Sara! Congrats for getting to your FI! And how lucky on your birthday it must be a sign! (and 13 is my lucky number!!) ha! The waiting period does go on i know but try to put it to the back of your mind for now as you will go crazy! Ok so i don't really know much about this as i don't get nauseous from flying so i can only give you my opinion of how i think it might be! As cabin crew, we obviously fly a lot. and it won't be ideal for every time you fly to take a pill. But, i don't think this will be a problem. Working on a plane is so much different to being sat down as a passenger. We are walking around constantly and are very busy so i doubt you would even have time to feel sick! Its just so different as cabin crew you don't even feel like you are in the air - as a passenger i haven't ever been scared of flying but i didn't particularly enjoy turbulence...but now as cabin crew i love it! Its fun! So maybe for you, you won't get nauseous and you will get used to the sensation of flying and won't need to take a pill! plus you got sick when you were a little girl I'm sure it would be different now!

  3. Hi! I'm sorry this is such a random question but do Emirates give you a pair of flat shoes to wear during the flight or are you in heels the whole time?

    1. You are given two pairs of shoes. One with a heel (not too high) and your cabin shoes which are flat. You wear the heeled ones on boarding, pre flight services and take off...then once stood up to begin the service preparation you swap into the flats and stay in the for the rest of the flight! And they are quite comfy too. No way you want to be doing a 17 hour flight in heels now do we?!! :)

  4. Just wanted to give you a sincere THANK YOU! I have been reading your blog since June and this weekend I attended an open day and was given a FINAL INTERVIEW! I am so excited, but don’t want to jinx anything! Either way, thank you so much for writing so many details about the day. I knew just what to expect, what to wear, knew to just be myself, and in the end I was given the opportunity of a final interview and just an hour ago i finished sumbitting all the documents needed for my application! Cannot believe this! Maybe see you in Dubai! :) Crossing fingers! P.S. The red hat looks fabulous! :)
